Many thanks to David and Ruth for putting on this interesting and very differernt Xmas event. Even Limavady natives saw places they had never been before and 7K of Urban run certainly burnt off some of the turkey!

Once again, the Limavady Year 6 Championships were held at Backburn Path in Limavady. Over 200 children from Drumachose, Termoncanice, Central, Ballykelly and Roe Valley Integrated, participated in the event. Competition was close with only a matter of seconds between the Champions, Termoncanice and runners-up, Limavady Central. In the individual competition, Rioghnach and Lucy from Ballykelly school completed the course in 7:05 minutes while Jack and Thomas from Limavady Central were second in 7:58.
A small band of 6 club members travelled to Divis Mountain, overlooking Belfast, on a fairly cold and windy day. The event chosen for the club championships was the third of LVO’s Autumn Trophy series. Thankfully the rain and sleet stayed away during the event and although the terrain consisted of many marches, in places, the runnability was good. The area is not particularly difficult but any small errors in navigation can be costly.
