Continue readingThe weather is set fair for the weekend with a good chance of sunsine at Magilligan and an onshore wind from Iceland keeping things cool on top of the dunes. However, out of the wind it could be very hot indeed in the hollows – so please put on the sun block, hydrate well and bring lots of water.
Only courses on the Classic over 5k will visit water stations. There are no water stations on the other days.
Those of you picking up hire cars who haven’t yet sent in a registration number, please do so before Saturday using this online form. We will then add you to the access list and email you a confirmation car pass which can be shown on your phone if necessary.
If you can, please display a print out of your car park pass or a competitor bib on the dashboard of your car to aid rapid site access. If you don’t have either, a car pass on your phone will be fine.
Drivers please have photo ID available.
The three days here have separate car parks but they are close together:

Owing to the scale of the event we won’t be offering a centralised key drop facility.
Please make sure you have read the detailed event and safety information on the Irish Orienteering Championship 2025 website.
Looking forward to seeing you all at download.
Have a great weekend.
