Description
This is a long narrow strip of generally pristine sand dunesĀ sitting behind the very popular 1.7 mile long Portstewart Strand. It is an Area of Special Scientific Interest and one of the very few remaining areas of unspoiled dunes on our coast. It is looked after by the National Trust who also charge for access to the beach for car parking. There is a simple path network within the dunes, but most of the area is wild and very rough underfoot.
Access and Parking
Parking is on the beach (beware of tides). There is a charge for this.
