 Description

This is a small largely coniferous plantation with a good track network and parking. Suitable for beginner Orienteering but rather limited for normal competition.

In recent years the building in the centre of the forest operated as the “Rural College”, running a range of residential and non-residential courses. There was also a restaurant open to the public. Unfortunately all these this facilities closed in 2011.

Access and Car Parking

At the time of writing (January 2017) the car park by the former Rural College in still acts as a public car park for users of the forest. This is accessed from the Derrynoyd Road.
