DESCRIPTION:Double Event- Sprint and Middle distance NI Championships\n\n\n\nThe NI Middle Distance Championships  \n\n\n\nEvent Location (live map) \n\n\n        Google Maps Wordpress         \n\n\n\nPlease note that the parking for this event is at the extreme north end of the Roe Valley Country Park and is accessed from Roemill Road Limavady and not via the B68 Ballyquin Road and the Country Park Dogleap Centre. \n\n\n\nO’Cahan’s Rock Car Park is 5 minutes from the Central Primary School (the parking for the Sprint Event) and is very small. Please consider sharing lifts. \n\n\n\nParking (and toilets)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are no toilets at the car park. Please use the toilets at the Roe Valley Leisure Centre which are 5 minutes walk behind the Central Primary School and are open to the public. Alternatively there are toilets at the Visitor Centre. \n\n\n\nEvent Entries\n\n\n\nEntries are online only via SI Entries. There is a discount for runners entering both events so we have combined both in one SI Entries form: \n\n\n\n\nEnter Online\n\n\n\nEdit your Entry\n\n\n\nView Entry Lists\n\n\n\n\nEntries close at midnight on Sunday 31st May \n\n\n\nNew 2026 BOF Insurance Rules\n\n\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering are notcovered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. By entering this event\, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event\, you would not be covered. \n\n\n\nEvent Enquiries \n\n\n\nThese will operate from 1:30 pm. Having entered online you can go directly to the start. Runners who have hired a dipper can collect them from Enquiries/ Download. \n\n\n\nElectronic Punching\n\n\n\nSI dippers (not SI Air) are available for hire and can be booked in the entry system.  \n\n\n\nSportident Electronic punching with beacon mode enabled for SI Air on all controls but not on the start and finish boxes which must be “dipped” in the traditional manner. \n\n\n\nStart Times\n\n\n\nThe pre-entry start blocks are from from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. \n\n\n\nStart \n\n\n\nThe start will be adjacent to the parking. \n\n\n\nFinish \n\n\n\nThe finish is adjacent to the car parking area. The Download point will be close by. These are marked as rectangular blocks of dark green. These show the areas to be avoided and are not intended to be used for navigation to a control site. Leg cover is recommended because of the time of the year. \n\n\n\nHazards\n\n\n\n\nParents should be aware that the River Roe flows through the centre of the map and is often fast flowing.
