The are a is partly managed by the Woodland Trust and partly by a community trust. There is a good network of small paths\, ponds\, hills and site of histor ical and nature interest.\n\nStrictly NO DOGS due to presence of livestock (Sheep)\nMap\nMap Scale 1:7500\nSafety &\; Future Access\nThere are a number of areas marked Out of Bounds on the map. These must be strictly ad hered to for safety (Deep Marshes / Livestock) and also to ensure our futu re access to this area.\n\n The OOB marsh to the west of the map will not be marked on the ground - stay out!\n The OOB marsh and adjacent environ mental restricted area on the east will be marked with tape - this must no t be crossed.\n The OOB field in the centre of the map contains semi-fera l livestock - the fence must not be crossed.\n\nControl stakes will have a small piece of reflective tape towards the top\, and the one major crossi ng point (NOT compulsory\, but highly recommended to use) will also have r eflective tape for the Night event\, and red/white tape for the Score even t.\n\nAll Score Orienteers will be checked for carrying a whistle\, and we ather depending\, a Cagoule\n\n3-blasts from the whistle is an Internation ally Recognized Distress Signal\nTree Disease\nCompetitors will be require d to use a foot bath/spray after leaving the forest to reduce the chance o f spreading tree disease.\nMass Start\nRegistration from 1300 HRS.\n\nRace / Safety Briefing at 1350 HRS at Start location\n\nMass Start at 1400 HRS Sharp (timed not punched)!
